Best second half i can remember from the lads in a long long time and can't pick the M.O.M. they were that good but a special mention for Elliot ( yes first name only ! ) who i have been fiercely critical of before yet has proven what a good and valuable player he really is and yet again shown us all what a brilliant management team we have in believing in him all this time . Great work by all.
Loved the posting by Ukranian Alty , what a heart on sleeve Mad dog , Kingy  etc type rousing shout out . Only being a threequarter full fella myself , need a wee bit more before being convinced we are on the glory trail once again , really enjoyed yesterday but to quote the last line from a famous movie "tomorrows another day". 🤞

Sad week losing two club legends .  Barry was one of my favourite all timers and of course in the mix for our best ever winger. Can remember vividly those magic moments mentioned above , all great goals.  Was stood behind the barrier at the open end where Barry nutmegged Willie Donachie near the touchline and hammered it past Joe Corrigan at the near post , the night we leathered Malcolm Allisons full strength City team , the great Kazimiertz Deyna included . What a player and what a team. R.I.P. Barry .i

Feeling a bit fragile this morning.
Clearly I'm not as resilient as I used to be!
I have grown out of saying I'll never drink again but I'll give it a couple of days 😉😂😂
Yer no longer a kid Brian 😊

I was thinking more Brian Kidd, Nobby Stiles, Brandon Williams. All those are from the Harpurhey/Collyhurst/Blackley/Moston/Crumpsall areas.
Stan Bowles ( Collyhurst ) Tony Towers ( New Moston ) Jon Macken ( Blackley ) too . Jon was in my lads class throughout school and i ran with his father in law for Salford Harriers . Have a couple of stories re Stan !!!

Good to hear the many positives from last night and i agree 5 from 9 is a very decent start . The support sounded fantastic on RR too , brilliant effort 👏  The usual raft of surprise early season results in the NL and i do believe that this season that as few as 65 points might hit the play off mark . Other than Chesterfield i don't see anyone else as stand outs to challenge so we could be well in the mix .l do believe that we need to play our strongest and best balanced 11where possible rather than the rotational option to maintain that challenge though.

Great H.G. Wells impression UA, there are bound to be bumps on the road before we get there but why not ! Bring it on 👏🤞

All great vibes this morning .  Love the positivety around the club now , lest we forget just half a dozen years ago we were last in NLN with just 4 wins and 8 points adrift .  Amazing turnaround to where we are now so massive kudos to all at ML . Lovin it 👏
  ( Stickers and bogs excepted 😏 )

Osborne was my MOTM today he was great. Happy with a point overall but the added time was a joke. Later in the season and we win that 1-0 because of the time. We will be fine this season based  on today

I think we're going a little overboard on Osborne here. He still gave the ball away plenty of times, it's just that he managed to redeem a few times with good challenges.

As good as he is technically with his feet - he can often ping a very accurate pass - it's his footballing brain which lets him down; compared to those around him that thread together those lovely one-touch move that set us free on the attack, he'll pause... turn around... and then pass backwards.

One incident epitomised him well in the first half when the ball hung in the air for him unchallenged - his teammate shouted 'time' at least twice... and yet he couldn't get his brain in gear to bring it down, instead he decided to head it aimlessly inside into a dangerous position for them.
Exactly this . His lack of instinct and that extra time he needs to think of what to do next has cost us before and will continue to do so . Footballing skills can be improved bit those heat of the moment decision making situations are different .
