Should the Conference revert back to monday night games ?
« on: February 17, 2010, 02:20:41 AM »

Being away from Alty for a fair few years now when did they stop having monday nights as the mid week games ? Expecting anything more than the most hardcore fans to tun up when there is champions league on the tv is just b.s . Regardless of our geographical position close to City / Utd it seems to impact everyones crowds midweek.
Is it time to bring back Monday night games ? crowds like we had tonight are going to hurt the bottom line and i cant see another 200 fans suddenly getting bored with Man U in the champions league ...

Monday traditionally remained as Alty’s favoured midweek night for home matches until a Gola League game against Scarborough on 24th September 1985, when we switched to Tuesday evenings at the instigation of John King and George Rooney, who were the managerial team at Moss Lane at that time.
