A bit early but......
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:35:32 AM »

Hi, Eastbourne Borough fan here.
Many of us down here are realistic about our prospects of surviving the drop this term so with this in mind, our trip to you on the final day of the season could well be our last BSP game ( 1point from our last possible 36points says the drop is very likely.)
Either way we hope to have a party final day and just enjoy it as best we can and some of us are planning to make a weekend of it. Is there any B&Bs or hotels nearby that you would recommend and good nights out also?
Been up to you place season before last and was made to feel very welcome before, during and after the game when your lads came from 2 down to share the points.
As i said, i know its early to be asking about hotels etc as its a bank holiday weekend thought it best to plan ahead.

Cheers
Trigger.

Bowdon Hotel were doing 50 pounds for a double 35 single at the weekend and Ashley Hotel similar both close to Alty town centre and the very low kety Hale Village.

have a look now at the travelodges and premier inns locally.....obviously I'm duty bound to recommend a night in alty but why not go into manchester city centre (£40-£50 return by cab), wander down deansgate locks, the gay village (you don't have to be gay) and finish up on the curry mile in levenshulme.....your mission should you choose to accept is to bring back a traffic cone,a private number plate off a 1995 s class mercedes, a wpc's suspender belt and/or hat and a macclesfield town car sticker.

Enjoy your trip anyway...and please spend some money in our bar to warm up...

Deffo look at premier inn/ travel lodge - family rooms for two nights is like £117 - so £30 isn't too bad

Great stuff, thanks guys.

I think personally, our fate will be decided long before the final day but should that be the case i hope we can bring a good number up to you to wave farewell to the BSP. I live in the hope that miracles can happen but as said above i'm realistic.

Cresta Court is central in Alty, otherwise there is the George and Dragon on the Chester Rd.

Yes I'm afraid there will be no more "midnights at the Oasis".

The lack of customer service will be missed! Now flats.
