I see Barnsley have a game at Coventry on Tuesday the 3rd so that might rule out Friday night. I hope they don't replace their manger before the tie like milwall did.

We won't be the live BBC game tbh so I doubt Friday night is an issue.

The point being no Alty fan would have a Darren Gough type Barnsley accent.

Hang about, we have Scottish and Irish fans that come to games. You can't judge on an accent alone. It's ridiculous.

Wouldnt be based on accent alone I think it would work and  if you dont then thats fine , if away fans really want to get in the home end as others have pointed out then they probably would .I reckon it will probably be made  all ticket anyway. We have dealt with Tranmere and Grimsby this season .

yes which resulted in no away fans coming, and a crowd only a little over 2k - payday lost

Shouldn't have thought it will be all ticket, Barnsley seem to only take 500ish to away games

Your comment has been noted on the Barnsley forum, they beg to differ and suggest your estimations are fairly wide of the mark
I would be suprised if they brought anymore than Chester, and they defo will bring nowhere near as many as either Grimsby or Tranmere

Your comment has been noted on the Barnsley forum HAM

"A guy on their forum fancy us to take less than Grimsby and Tranmere?

Clearly they don't realise that we've the 2nd highest away average in league 1."

In league games their average away following has been between 748 and 1,057 over the last 5 years if that's any use.

Great draw. Was just praying to stay away from FC United.

I'm sure Barnsley fans realise that ticket and segregation matters are decided by GMP and South Yorkshire Police liason officers and not fans on forums.

I didn't realise just how badly Barnsley are doing at the moment. Having trawled through some of their forum threads, I'm yet to find one Barnsley fan who is confident of victory. They obviously don't know we're down to just 12 fit senior players.

Great draw against a big club. Would be astounded if they only took 500, Reckon they'll fancy the away day and bring at least 1000 to ML, should be a cracker!
