FCUM Trophy Game

From the Alty website....

Quote
The date and venue of that match remain unclear as FCUM's landlords, Bury, are themselves playing at Gigg Lane on 26 November when the tie is scheduled to take place.

Is there any chance of this game being played at Moss Lane?  Bearing in mind our recent cup exploits, we could do with all the advantages we can get  ;)

It will be at gigg lane on the Sunday, bury won't want the pitch used on the Friday night prior to their game and rules dictate they can only move the game on police advice

Moss Lane would make the most sense but rules are rules

Why would it? We got drawn away and therefore should play the game away. It's not ideal if we end up playing it on the Sunday but it's not a disaster.

My initial post was rather tounge in cheek, if I recall correctly the last time we played on a Sunday we won against Oxford United at ML.

Well from my knowledge they pay rent per game for playing at Bury

I presume therefore

Total money taken in (or it could be just gate) - expenses (Inc this rent) = money to be split?

So at moss lane they'd not pay rent so both clubs (if we're being fair) would make more money

Personally id rather play away

This is, as has been said many many many times a total irrelevance. The practice of Clubs reversing fixtures was, quite correctly in my view, banned a few years ago

The game can only be moved ON POLICE ADVICE and as we are, on the whole, very well behaved and the Bury bit of the Greater Manchester Constabulary are entirely familiar with FCUM that is really not going to happen

It'll be even tougher without the lucky red and black kit but we can do it...

Stop it, I'm hurting from laughing. It's about as lucky as the black cat I ran over a couple of years back.
