A lot of websites have splash pages to advertise up and coming events and/or products before you arrive at the homepage. How easy would it be to set this up for the forum and/or official website?

I reckon if we had something like that running in conjunction with a website that enables people to join fundraising schemes instantly online (especially the Yankee) we might really be able to drive these initiatives forward a lot more and raise significantly more cash for the club.

If anybody wants to follow our games online and can't access the excellent Radio Robins commentary, I will be posting live text updates on http://twitter.com/#!/Altyconfnorth
The updates will be based on the Radio Robins commentary but hopefully this will prove to be of use to anyone who can't listen in.

I posted updates during the first two games and found it a useful way to occupy myself whilst sitting at home fretting about the game!  :)

I'll try and do it for most games except when I'm able to attend matches or if I'm not at home.

Altrincham boss Lee Sinnott will await fitness tests on striker Stuart Coburn and midfielder Nicky Cleg before naming his starting lineup for Saturday’s trip to Harrogate Railway. 17 year old Neil Tolson may earn a place on the bench after an excellent run in the side during pre-season. Big spending Harrogate  report no injury worries.

BUXTON GAME
Because of the relentless rain of the last few days, Buxton have indicated that Tuesday evening's friendly against Altrincham is subject to a pitch inspection tomorrow morning. As soon as a decision is reached it will be posted here, hopefully by 11am.
If the game goes ahead, admission will be £7 for adults, £4 for pensioners and £2 for under-16s.

Shaun Densmore has been having an impressive pre-season for Altrincham and in the Non-League Paper he says of the club, "It is a great club. My dad (Peter) obviously played here and I want to try and get them promoted. Relegation was hard to take. We almost managed to stay up but it just wasn't meant to be. Some of the new players the new manager has brought in permanently and on trial look very good so, hopefully, we can have a good season. I was talking to a few of the lads the other day and we were saying it will be weird going from trying to avoid defeat to expecting to win most weeks".
