he has gone to Tranmere for a month according to Stoke website

I hope he does well, good luck to him. I can't honestly see him coming back here now, Stoke seem to want to develop him, hence loans to league sides and giving him a short run out the other night in the league cup. Its a chance for the lad to put himself in the proverbial shop window too, if its not going to happen at Stoke.

At Burton Albion "Nigel Clough is hoping to add to his squad with a loan move for Morecambe defender Adam Yates. The 25 year old made 44 appearances for the Shrimps in their debut season in league two and during his time in the Conference has also played for the England C squad". Yates was briefly at Altrincham last season.

Ryan Shotton is a substitute for Tranmere Rovers at home to Northampton Town this afternoon.

Indeed, Stoke confirming he has been allowed to join on a one month loan to gain first team experience, where he was promptly an unused substitute  ???
