Luton 1 up at Norwich with 2 minutes to play :(
-
Actually really gutted about that >:( >:(
-
I think it did quite well to last that long...we now just have to say we are part of an exclusive club of teams that have achieved it.
-
I know this will get lost in all the coverage but Lutons' non league status and ours in '86 is like comparing apples and submarines (or something). The record of which we were justly proud was recognised by us and not many others. Sutton always stole the limelight in any case so no biggy really.
-
Well atleast now what we did in 86 maybe mentioned by a few in the media I heard sterling say since Altrincham
-
Presume Luton will turn down any tv coverage they are offered in the next round seeing as they hate the FA.
Or are the hypocrites?
-
No mention of alty

We were mentioned on Sky Sports news just after Luton had scored.
Still believe ours was a bigger feat as we are part time.

I agree there's a difference, but not that much. Both leagues are infinitely better, not just the Conf.
The fact it's taken so long shows just how big a deal it is.
Annoyed how little we're mentioned for what we did. At least villa fans remember!
-
Mark Pougatch mentioned us in Sports Report and mark Clemmit also in his post match interview with Paul Buckle.
-
And I just mentioned it on 5 live Saturday Edition :)
-
Still the last semi-pro team to beat a top division club away!

Love it Hamilton!
-
no surprise that ITV highlights were rubbish and no mention of Alty - "first non-league win against top flight since 1989" - no mention of who. Spent longer on Arsenal beating Brighton (although better game to be fair)
-
all a bit churlish this
why cant we just congratulate Luton for an amazing result?

Good point. Great win for Luton. Sutton had a record broken as well as us at the end of the day.
-
Fair point I'd pursume Wimbledon were not to botherd by us beating Birmingham
-
these records are there to be broken. Well done to the hatters.
