Job done - well done lads.

Another favourable draw please - this prize money is invaluable to us at the moment.

Thank god morpeth were nowhere near as good as we'd built them up to be....
Awful game....when will we stop putting ourselves under constant pressure by giving the ball away so cheaply?...moult and lawrie the worst culprits.
Not seen a player run a game for alty like greg did today...motm well deserved...
Dawber not up to this level what an awful schumaker esque challenge how was that not a pen?
Millers dive worst one ive seen by alty player...
Reevesy scores when he wants
Marsh looks a player.
Lots of positives but we have to stop this lazy ball giving away...
Onwards and upwards and more money to go on strengthening..

Bishop Auckland at home will do - similar level to Morpeth and the only Step 5 team left in the northern half of the draw.

A few sides left that we should fancy our chances against - Kettering, Lincoln Utd, Stourbridge, Spennymoor

Well done lads. It's been sunny here all day. I will have to find alternate entertainment for Wed  night now.
Cmon you Alty

Let's hope the lad who got carried off is ok, and Tom Hannigan

A win is a win and for once we'll have 7K more than BBC Salford in the bank. I still don't fancy anyone next round - can we not just have a bye?

Dreafully slow paced game. They were dreadful but we still made hard work of it.

Clearly need the worst team at home next round. I assume that's Guiseley

The 'worst' 3-0 win I can ever remember! Morpeth can feel very hard done by as 1-0 would've been harsh on them but we're in the hat for the next round and hopefully the draw will be favourable.

Edit..Hope the Morpeth lad that got stretchered off is OK,what an awful challenge by Dawber!

You can only beat whats in front of you.

We looked much more composed at the back with Tom back, I hear the injury wasnt too bad so hopefully he will be back soon.

The tactics were right but we just gave the ball away far too much and quality in the last third was poor.

Still showing signs of recovery and should give the lads a bit more confidence.

Anyone know how the lad who was stretchered off is? It looked bad from the other end of the field & you don't like to see anyone seriously injured - I shall always be haunted by Marcus Hallows' scream when his leg went in that tackle v Ashton many moons ago.
As to the game - a win's a win, but that's about all you can say. Marsh looks like a player; Lawrie & Miller remain luxuries we can afford against lesser teams, but ... ; Wilkinson continues to look good at the level we're now involved with; & I for one would like to see Cain given a start ere long.

Reasons to be cheerful 1, 2, 3.

1. We won.
2. Clean sheet.
3. £7500 in the bank.

How poor was Jake Moult though? That has to be one of his worst performances in an Alty shirt. He's not a patch on the player he was a couple of years ago but is it down to how he's being asked to play now I don't know?

Just got to be greatful we are in tomorrow's draw on talkSPORT. The Morpeth manager felt that North Shields and Blyth are better sides than us, hard to argue with that on yesterday's showing and we are going to have to be 10 times better against stalybridge next Saturday. Plus a bit tougher because they kicked the sh*t out of Halifax yesterday. The lads to need to drop the nerves as we are a bit beyond worrying about it now and just go out and play to their potential. 30 games left and we are probably going to need 12/13 wins just to stay in this league. That's not being negative, that's fact looking at historical stats of this division
