Another example of why relegation was truly gutting

Instead we welcome droylsden who'll bring about 1/4 of what Stockport would have...

Anyway here's to 3 points towards the promotion push!

There's no point moping on about what could or should have been. The fact is we're here so let's get on with the task in hand.

It'll be a twentieth of what they would have brought but there is nothing we can do now

Hope we don't do what ifs for years. We were sh*t in the vast majority of games last season.

Moping about what might have been achieves absolutely nothing. Move on.

I just hope that we don't welcome Dale Johnson back to Moss Lane today with any degree of warmth.

The man jumped ship from Moss Lane twice and was part of the infamous spineless team that 'bottled' Alty's most important match for years when we played Eastbourne Borough last April.

And, yes, I do still bear more grudges than lonely High Court judges......

It is really depressing to be playing the scallies from Shameless country today but we have no-one to blame but ourselves, fingers crossed it will be County (or if not Vics) next  year. Still the one bonus today is that we won't have 20 Welsh Danny Dyer wannabes trying to kick off us in our own end today.

I thought the first time Dale left was with Heathcote thinking he wasnt pulling his weight.  Graham Westley said some nice words for Dale as well but I suppose Dale never fulfilled his promise.

Watch him score today with a typical header

The way it's going we probably won't - Stockport are more likely to go out of business than into the BSBN.

Out of Dale's handful of Alty goals I can't remember any of them being headers?
