I liked Jim Rosenthal's classic comment that Stevenage might have to rely "on the speed of Odubade". He's not exactly a creature of grace - the only thing quick about him that I've ever noticed is his ability to go to ground.

The BSN and BSS play offs are not on telly but Fleetwood are doing the usual codcast commentary. They look very ambitious.

This was a bit unfair on Stevenage.
Firstly they were denied a blatant penalty at 1-0.
Then 9 v 10 is a bigger disadvantage than 10 v 11. I agreed that both Red cards were justified.
However this result sends the wrong message to teams like Barrow, Mansfield, Luton and Vics that get results through bully tactics.

In fairness to Barrow, I don't think they were over aggressive -  tho they were very competitive!

However, that one red card challenge was abysmal -  the victim already had metalwork in his nose. I'm sure we all wish him well.

I didnt see much of the game other then the last period of extra-time. Why did Stevenage sub their keeper in the 90th minute?

From memory I think he knackered his leg. He walked off the pitch so probably a twinge in the groin (over to you, JD!) or a hamstring.

Thanks for your congrats.

You may be interested to know that even after his performance on Sat, we released Carlos today.

Reason being :

''We didn’t feel we got enough out of him over the season.”
