More importantly, can we superimpose Duncan Watmore's head on top of Phelan's in the team photos? Must be a record, losing a player 4 days after the photo gets taken?

Phelan is t he 4th player to not play after appearing in the team photo after chalmers, doughty and ollerenshaw.

Did Colin Alcide ever play for us? He was in a team photo in 92/93 but I don't recall him playing for us.

Made just the 3 appearances that season.

Whilst Lewis Chalmers wants to stay full time, he should still be offered non contract terms.Hes no club at present. so it might suit both parties as a short term measure

Another midfielde who could be a good short term optiom would be sean mcconville recently released by stockport

Doubt he would want to drop down to Blue Square north, but Manny Panther has been without a club since being released by Aldershot in march. Spent a couple of months on loan at Grimsby last year and has since failed to impress on trail at chesterfield.

He would be perfect even if it's just on a 'pay-as-you-play / get yourself in the shop window' type arrangement, keep him match fit until a top conference club comes in for him.
