Title: Brian Summerskill
Post by: DJ on July 19, 2011, 01:24:29 AM
Don't reckon he can cut it at BSN level, he was poo for us at Evo-Stik Level. Might have noticed that he has his shorts too high and a crap haircut!  ;D :P

I think he's played well so far in pre-season, it must be the fact he is within a decent side now.

Since he has had to stop paying subs he has been able to focus more on his all round game.

Well thanks for that very well informed opinion.

We will pass it on to our vastly experienced non-league manager who will no doubt realise he has made a massive mistake in not first asking you what you thought about the player.

You lot would make Messi look a tw@t in one of your shirts

19 year old player in "not peaked yet" shocker.

From what I've heard he's acquitted himself very well so far.

That's what ambition and good coaching does for you, lets hope he continues to improve. I always throught Lee had signed him as someone he thought would develope in time. Seems that at Vics you are what they think you are and thats the end of it :o

I wouldn't read much into DJ's commnets. Summerskill played well last season and is a loss for Vics this season. Happy for him to step upto BSN as surely that's what its all about, progress.

Don't think he will help you win the league though!

Seriously??? I will be very suprised if he gets into your team!!! He plays well when he wants but he's massively inconsistent. When he has a shocker, I mean he has a shocker. Evo-Stik isn't sh*te, you'll find the top half of our league is as good as some of the teams at the bottom of yours. Big teams like Chester, Hendesford, Chorley, FC United, BPA, Us

Your not a big club, youve got 300 fans and lose against sports centres

We're going through a rebuilding stage after season after season of crisis. This is the most stable summer we've had in ages. We have nearly finalised our squad for this season and have made a number of great signings. We've had no threat from the Conference for a change and no court cases. It is refreshing and we're starting to see the benefits of being in the league we are in. We're stronger than last year and if we can win and get up again, then the fans will start to come back. We'll be back in the not too distant future with Alty, don't you worry my son.

Is this as Northwich Villa when the Vics go bust? Why would the people come back to watch big boot football and get outplayed by Ashton Utd? When they can go and watch a properly run club across the canal at Wincham Park.

Your argument is fundamentally flawed because you weren't getting many more home fans when you were last in the Conference.

Has Walter Mitty bought the ground yet or is the deal still 97% done as it was three years ago?

I've got nothing against the lad, just didn't rate him as a player. I wish him well with Alty but I don't think he will cut it for you and I think you will find that out in time. I'm also certainly not jealous, yeah I'm 19 and happy to be studying Journalism in uni. The fans weren't with us last time in the Conference because we were doing poor and the club wasn't being very well ran. It is being ran much better now.

JR is actually living within his means for a change, big earners such as James Spencer and Ben Hinchcliffe have now left the club. CVA payments are being met, yes we agreed a CVA! News on the ground deal, apparently it will be completed some time next week. As I said, things are looking up. What about Northwich Villa? We don't care if we were getting outplayed to Ashton, that was last season, we look a different team this time around! Do Alty fans have to continually take digs at Vics?

And Liverpool are going to win the Premiership as well because they look like a different team. You cannot polish a turd.

You are aware that agreeing a CVA is a source of shame, not pride aren't you? It means you pay back a percentage of what you owe instead of all that you owe (as we did).

It is stealing.

Hope this helps.

I know it was only trafford but i thought he played very well tonight.

I also think he has the coolest name ever and he has great hair.

Along with Nicky Clee, he will be a key creative player in midfield this season.

Looks a tidy player with very good control, always looking for quick passes, maybe just a little lightweight and his positional play needs to improve maybe but he's only young and seems to be really keen. I think Lee has found a gem here if he keeps improving.
