Released by Halifax town, I'd have him back
-
If you manage to get him motivated and driven, then there is still a great plaeyer there. Unfortunately we didn't always see it when he played for us but on occassion he was the best player on the pitch.
-
He's better than Perry and Smikle even at his laziest ( not saying much ) but I'm not sure what it takes to get him fired up. Barrow's manager said as much when he went there on loan.
No doubting his talent when on form.
-
Good point on Perry and Smikle. He got a bit of grief from Alty fans (unwarrented IMO) last time he played against us for Droylsden though, so I don't know how keen he'd be to return, but I'd be happy if he did come back, he was a fans favourite and he'd probably strengthen the team as you say, too.
-
The goal he scored at York is one of my favourites ever, but no thanks
-
Bring him I'm for perry is my opinion , would be third choice striker
-
Could potentially do a very good job for us and IMHO think he would work well with Reevesy or Walshaw.
I think (he appreciates) the fans would give him a warm welcome back.
-
How old is he now?
Maybe a title challenge would spur him on - I'm 50/50 at best to be honest. Bit like his performances - 50% great, 50% duff.

Skip to 6.20 for the goal.
-
A talented player when he's in the mood / on his game
Unfortunately IMHO that is far too infrequently to make him a viable option for us and, it seems that an increasing number of Clubs and managers are coming to the same conclusion
-
No thanks. Too lazy

Agreed. Best not to look back - the specs get too rose-coloured.

I concur. I liked Dale when he was with us. One of the few players I thought had the talent (if not the application) to play FL while we were fighting it out in the Conference. But he's far, far too inconsistent. If we want to win this division we need someone who's going to have 3 good games out of 4. Not 1 great game out of 6.
-
Maybe worth looking at him and senior as a partnership ??
-
Pass, let's move on.
He had his chance and blew it.

Had his chance(s). !!
I'm afraid from what I've seen of Dale recently (Droylsden & Barrow) he's been very poor.
-
Don't look back iv heard when other old players available , and that's what it think in his case , had to many chances at to many clubs and never proven his self .

Senior netted twice for Coventry Youth on Thursday and was impressive. Can't see him dropping into non league :D
-
I watched dale j carefully in the barrow game and he did well and is far more mobile than Kyle which in this league is vital. Perry is immobile but has a great left foot, not bad touch and can score a decent goal now and again. He is woeful in the air and hardly ever wins a header which is a surprise for someone of his height who is a centre forward. He doesn't carry much threat to defenders.
Dale is quicker, better in the air but can disappear from games. I'd put johnson ahead of perry as a striker any day.
So..........that'll be a Perry hat trick coming up today!!
-
Dale has signed for Ashton anyway. For the record, even on a day when he couldn't be arsed he was and still is twice of the player of Kyle perry.
-
definate no from me, lazy waste of space with flashes of brilliance.
-
Not sure I would've signed dale back however I enjoyed watching him and I think some of the cheap shots are unnecessary
-
Not for me.... that's not where we need to strenghten...need a spare centre half & centre midfielder in case of injuries.. the squad is knitting together now.. let's hope for no long term injuries

Spot on Jimmy. Exactly how I see it.
-
Not cheap shots, we always said he was lazy but has the brilliance to do a job if he applied himself. Problem being he doesnt apply himself.
-
He must've done something at us and droylesden he got a move to a bigger club

This is true.

He's got all the ability he'd need. It's the consistency of application that lets him down. Managers see the talent and ability, think they're the man that can make Dale perform consistently, so sign him up.
-
I don't go many Halifax matches but he was scoring and apparently playing well for them consistently till he got injured
