Title: Weymouth Match Thread
Post by: robininstockport on November 18, 2021, 06:06:36 PM
Need to put Tuesday night to bed and get back to winning ways.

                          Thompson

Senior.  Mularkey Hannigan. Fitzpatrick

                      Moult.  Pringle

  Mooney.  Kosylo.  Colclough

                   Hancock

Would have Hampson over Fitzpatrick but don't think he'll be available. Rather not have Hancock as the 9 but no one else is good enough. It might well be that the role doesn't suit Hancock.

Weymouth 1-2 Alty (Mooney, Moult)

Densmore on the right, Senior on the left, anything rather than start Fitzpatrick, our poorest performer on Tuesday. Hancock ran him close for that dubious challenge, and I'd stick with Peers who at least couldn't be faulted for effort.

Though, I'd instinctively go with the XI at the head of this thread, a couple of players did look a bit groggy on Tuesday.

Colclough wasn't right, Jake looked like he'd gone through a bout with Borehamwood and Tom Hannigan was still plainly ill.

I think PP might rotate for this one and I can see Digie and Whitehead starting.

I still think Mooney can do a job at No9.

Whoever plays, they owe us a big performance!

If everyone were fully fit and raring to go, then robininstockport has called it for me.
However some of that selection need a break so, as others have said, we can likely expect to see a couple of changes.
If we can pick ourselves up again then we're fully capable of getting something out of this game.
I hope we do because I can't see us getting much at Chesterfield next Tuesday unfortunately.

I would give Dens a run out at RB. Move Joel back to Left back. It’s now time for our strikers to show some consistency, we can’t afford not to take chances when in a position to score.

If fit I would be happy to see Brad Jackson given a run.

Centre backs need to be fit, carrying knocks or not feeling 100% isn’t an option.

Looking forward to going to Weymouth, currently staying in Somerset for a few days so not too far to travel for this one.

Weymouth 1 - 3 Alty.

Onwards and Upwards.

Hope to see you there Harold

Time to shuffle from the other night as there has to be consequences for a performance that bad in a game that important. Pringle looked good when he came on so he needs to start and Porter doesn’t look ready for me yet. Tom H also didn’t quite look fit so if any doubts I’d say Digie to come in at CB.

With a very tough game to come on Tuesday night we really need something from this I’d say. I assume too we’ll be stopping over for this one so hope that helps the players. Id take the draw if offered but we are overdue a win now so fingers crossed…

I'm expecting a decent showing today. Having had time to reflect on Tuesday I don't think we had enough gas left in the tank after the fightback against Boreham Wood.

Sounds like they're kicking lumps out of us (when they can catch us) 😉

Come on you Robins. 45 minutes to preserve a clean sheet and bolster TTs chances at the awards ceremony! 😉

I was out watching my foster daughter Lacie play for the Under 10's this morning V Ashton on Mersey. They won 4-1 also!

Hoe to be back at the ground next Saturday V Southend, but in family stand if no away fans.

Just the result that was needed after a tough few days.
A couple of the goals sounded like screamers from Ryan Colclough, plus on another day we might have had 7 (seven) or more.
Well done to Parky and the lads to get back to winning ways.

Thought the boys were well worthy of the win even though Weymouth went down to 10 men early doors. It’s sometimes more difficult to play against 10 but today we used the advantage well by spreading the play and stretching them wide, we played some good stuff and it was very pleasant to watch, Kossy, Ryan & Joel took the eye, I do wish Kossy wouldn’t give the ref so much grief, he won’t win that one, it was also great to see Connor getting more game time, still not sure about Dinanga, he gives me the impression of being a bit sulky (maybe I’m wrong). Anyhow, now for Chesterfield, I hope Dan and Ryan and Jake are fit for that one.

Onwards & Upwards

Superb result away from home in the conference league. Put Weymouth to the sword after the red which is brilliant to have done in any conference national match. Especially good after the FA Cup defeat on Tuesday. I feared a Colchester-type scenario
