Mick Hayde, Gary Powell, Chris Sharratt, Darren Heesom, Richard Landon, Colin Little.

Actually incorrect ALTY1981, Mick Hayde was supposed to go to Macc as part of the deal that brought Chris Sharratt and someone whose name escapes me (Mark Dempsey?) to Moss Lane. However, the legend that was Haydey (absolute tremendous lad who was always right up for playing for Alty) decide that he couldn't bear the thought of signing for the Milkmen and made his excuses of the "what's that?...sorry, on my mobile, can't hear you.....reception's poor.....I'm going under a bridge...*makes crackling noise then switches phone off*" variety before finally signing for Worcester City I think.

Mick's other job was a Jail Warden and he moved back up to the North West and was a warden at the jail Mark Ward did time in, I always wondered how their chats about football went.

Was there ever a player who got the full set of 'proper' Cheshire clubs i.e. Alty, Runcorn, Vics and Macc?

Bimson never signed for us did he? Did he play in a friendly one pre season or something? What year was it 98/99?

He played for us in pre-season 1994/95 before signing for Macc and winning the league there.

Ballers,

That's actually a corker of a trivia question...!

At present, I haven't got beyond individuals who have played for three of that quartet of Cheshire clubs e.g.

Alty + Runcorn + Macc
Ronnie Ellis
Elfyn Edwards
John Imrie

Alty + Vics + Runcorn
Mal Bailey
John Davison
Don Page
Eddie Bishop
Jason Gallagher

Alty + Vics + Macc
Darren Tinson
Phil Power
Tony Hemmings

Any others...?

My dear late brother was useless at Christmas presents (he once bought me a bottle of QC sweet sherry when I was about 15) and he used to wrap presents in pages from Shoot!

Didn't John Davies (or whatever his name was) bring half the MAcc team, Fidler et al with him when he came to us as manager in 70-71 (or whenever it was).

Has anyone said Dave Mobley, Ian Morris in particular?  Didn't Graham Tobin end up at Macc?

That was the 1971/72 season with the likes of Merrick Corfield; Dave Roberts; Dick Young and Dennis Fidler.

Come on, Bill, pay attention!
