Altrincham FC First Team / New Signings...
« on: August 13, 2016, 05:20:12 PM »
Am i right in thinking that since the season began all the goals have been scored by our old guard, and none by a new signing? DRAW your own conclusions from that.

Great news, we would have really struggled to replace him, he can be the main man again. 30 goals next season mark my words. has to be the first name on the team sheet every week!

not sad to see him go, was surprised to see he was retained, a liability in the end! good news, more space for a proper CB.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Ticket prices
« on: May 12, 2016, 07:16:24 PM »
There is, although I think you have to ask for it. My lad, who is in the 6th Form, got his season ticket last year at the Concession Price (or was it the 12-16 year old price?). Think it was the former but can't quite remember now.

Why is there no discount for 16 to 18 year olds?
At this age they are still at school/college and cant afford to go to games.

Students above 16 are concessions with a valid student card or NUS.

this needs to be made more explicitly clear, countless people 16-18 and at Uni don't know this and pay full price, a student price isn't advertised outside the ground or on the site. losing potential fans, as fickle as it is £9 for someone is college/sixth form is ludicrous

I like the new manager a tough guy like kingy good start I reckon
But I still would say that bad luck and injured players sent us down not bad manager and chairmen

this myth that we got relegated because of a few injuries and bad luck is utter rubbish, injuries & bad decisions happen, the latter more so by the board and the management than any referee or anyone else. we got relegated because we suffered SSS badly and made bad choices, failed to get results when we needed them, couldn't buy an away win and weren't much better at home.

Really hope Reeves stays, big player for next year. sad to see a few of the players leave but my god how is Lawrie still here, hasn't done anything since the 2014/15 season.

no mention of 20/20 hahahaha

Keep Lawrie - if like to see him managed properly. Worth waiting a bit longer.
Why keep a guy whose set pieces rarely pass the first defender, can't tackle, and regularly gives the ball away ? Yes, he can have the odd brilliant game.....but we want consistency.

Started off 1good game in 3 must have been 1 in 8 last season

spot on^ - was no need.

Off the pitch it's going well, crowds are up and that is an indication of the community efforts going on and CSH is part of that.  On the pitch it was utterly unacceptable.  the progress off the pitch is a good thing and if the crowds can hold up next year you never know

ye agreed crowds have been remarkable considering

but we've got a community sports hall tho so its all A-OK!!! The 4 Brackley fans that will come will love it I'm sure! ;D ;D

Altrincham FC First Team / Not like we didn't know it was coming...
« on: April 30, 2016, 07:44:44 PM »
we all knew there was a 0% chance of us staying up today anyway so lets cut the crap, we had a god awful season, 2 away wins all season, waited too long for loan signings, injuries, running too small a squad, poor tactics and lack of effort all played there part in our inevitable demise. now we look forward, new squad needed (I would keep Reeves, Moult, Deasy, Havern, Dens, Clee, Masha & Richman if we can) but get rid of everyone else, new management with a new ethos needed as our lack of identity this season has cost us, what type of football do we actually play (other than sh*te) i couldn't tell you, we need to get our team spirit back. That team that won the CN play off's played for each other, this team don't. simple:
Squad overhaul (easier said than done i know)
New manager (one with contacts this time)
New ethos on the pitch
Always said that its all well and good getting the draws against grimsby and the big teams but if you can't win the bread and butter games, they don't matter and this has been oh so evident this season. However, we go again next season in what looks to be a very tough league and do our best, but BIG CHANGES are needed or we could face an extended time either languishing in the North or god forbid going down again into what is essentially Sunday League.
