Altrincham FC First Team / Online shop
« on: September 18, 2020, 02:19:33 PM »
Has anybody else experienced a long-ish wait for deliveries from the online shop? I ordered a shirt and the season review magazine over 3 weeks ago and nothing has materialised yet. Not the end of the world, but I just wondered if others had had the same experience?

I did query it by email and was told I would receive a message when the items are despatched. Hopefully this will happen soon. 🤞🙂 🔴⚪

I thought Williams performed well for us at National League level previously, so hopefully he'll do well again.

So unbelievably sad.

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours in his company about a month ago and, as ever, I was humbled by his courage and wonderful humour in the face of the most adverse situation one can possibly imagine.

One of the funniest, bravest and all round nicest people you could possibly wish to meet. It's been a privilege to call this man my friend and I am grateful for all the happy memories over so many years.

RIP Ecky x

My own idiotic behaviour once caused a very unpleasant scene with Dave Pace and his entourage in the Noel White Suite, something I very much regret in retrospect.

When you look at it in the cold light of day, he did a fantastic job there in getting them to the top level of non league football and deserves great credit for having done so. I feel very sorry for the club and its supporters that they now find themselves in this dreadful position. Hopefully they can come back in some form and keep football going in Droylsden.

Any supporters group is only as good as the people who put the graft into running it. I do find it a bit back to front that all the noises about making it happen are coming from within the club and not so much the fanbase itself. It's normally the other way round?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a good idea and I hope it can be done successfully, but I know how much hard work and commitment it takes for it to flourish. Not a project to be taken lightly, that's for sure....

Indeed. It should have come from the fan base but I suppose a nudge in the right direction isnt the worst thing. I do think it's a good thing to have though.

Definitely not taking it lightly, that's why myself and Jack are gauging interest.

Fair play to you guys for taking it on, I'm sure you will do a great job. 👍

Looks like I'll be driving, then! Can't be bothered with disrupted rail services for the sake of having a couple of pints.
