Thank you Stuart for your loyal service
-
Indeed.
A true legend of the club deserved so much more than going out like that.
Thank you for so many years of great service - had so looked forward to at least one last fist pump
-
Where do you start ?
Bought for a lawn mower one of the most astute peices of business ever
Made so many memorable saves over the years
Totally committed
Will be missed
Right up there with the greats of this club
Loved seeing him score away from that goal kick
Thanks so much Stu you won so many points over the years for us i lost count

Legend is overused these days but Stu really is an Alty legend. Those performances v Nuneaton in the FA Cup and away at Telford in addition to his goal at Canal Street are the stand out moments. Top man. Would love to see him back as the gaffer one day.
-
One thing everyone can agree on is that Stu is an absolute legend. Thanks for everything Stu.
-
Yes I know I said I would not post again , but have got to say goodbye to a legend , all the best Stu and thanks for all you have done for us , :'(
-
God is infinite
Stu thank you for so many gutsy passionate performances, all the saves, all the fist pumps.......Right up there with the top Alty legends.
Enjoy your retirement ;)
-
Just read the interview on the main site - how heart felt is that? :'(
I hope he does get on the pitch one last time even if only for the time wasting substitution in the 93d minute as we are 2up and staying up - give him the send off he deserves.
-
Shame he wasn't on bench today , could of come on for last ten , and got a standing ovation .
-
If there isn't a decent testimonial game for him I'm going to be VERY angry !
-
Cheers Stu, will never forget the goal & penalty save at Runcorn, ps Telford way awesome. Top man and hope to see your testimonial
-
Will be sadly missed between the sticks.Good luck outside of the game
-
Thans Stu - you will always be a hero in my eyes. Go get your coaching badges... I think many of us would be happy to see you return in some capacity or other in the future.
-
Cheers for the memories Stuart !
-
Thanks Stu - for your commitment, dedication, hard work and for all the times you have dragged us out of the mire with some truly world class saves
You are and always will be a legend at Alty FC mate, of that their is no doubt
Hope you get a deserved Testimonial
Thanks
Ray & Jill
-
Thanks for all the momeries .Stu.
You ALTY LEGEND.
-
Been a privilege to watch. Thank you Stuart.
-
Barring his brief stint at Leigh RMI, Stuart has played for Alty my whole adult life. It's going to be a strange place without him around and I really hope that there is some way he can be involved again in the future.
"Legend" is an over-used word in football, but Stuart is as big a legend as they come at this club and he will be sorely missed.
Thanks for everything Stuart! :)

I was lucky enough to see Stuart in three of his greatest games. The penalty save and goal at Runcorn, that wonder save at Telford and then the save after save against Nuneaton.
What a true hero for Alty and a player who will never be forgotten.
-
He has intimated that he may become a fan, that would be wonderful if he can stomach watching but not playing. Get on the Golf Road Stu, that would be great. Another performance memory, away at Cambridge the last day when we had to be seen to compete as it was between CU and Burton for promotion.

I had completely forgotten about the gravity of that game, and Stuart's performance that day. Top drawer as he so often was.
I've only ever really known Stuart Coburn as goalkeeper at Altrincham. I'll always remember the way he signed off on a victory with those iconic fist-pumps, while fans of the opposition stood confused watching us drag out an "oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh" for a minute or so.
#ThankYouStu

A free season ticket perhaps Mr Rowley? I reckon so.
-
What would make a suitable tribute?
Do we think we could manage a continuous 670 second (it was 670 appearances wasn't it?) rendition of "England's number one" on Saturday - probably at HT so events on the pitch don't interfere?
It's a long time for a chant but 1 second per appearance doesn't sound much, just shows what an achievement that is.

Testimonial pre season against a league 1 club first team who will bring fans required
-
Always came across as a really good guy when we played against him.
