Just read on Alty twitter that tonight's attendance was 1209.
Thought there was a lot more than that there.
Can anybody confirm this?
-
1209 is also quoted on the Hednesford website> fixtures.
I wasn't there though.
-
looked alot more, they must have had 800ish standing plus the stand and away end
-
Looked about 1800
-
Surely more than that.
-
Got to be 1809 surely, the main stand was full as was the section to the left of it as you look.
They get 650 at home in the league and we must have had at least 250 there ( I couldn't really see though )
-
I believe there was 287 away fans. Looked more than 1209 in the whole groung though
-
1209 is a fraud! Many more than that there. At least 1800 if not more!
-
Hednesford gave 1209 as the overall figure (286 away fans) last night. I wasn't there so I can't comment beyond that.
-
Their fans are also querying it on their forum

Bl**dy crooks!!

Bl**dy crooks!!
It could just be a genuine mistake! I seem to recall that we gave out an incorrect attendance a few years back (not the Barnet one! :) ) due to a turnstile not being included when doing the count.

I would like to believe that.
It's very odd, their own fans are questioning the figures ???

I may be citing the wrong club, but it seem to recall it took them three attempts to make the correct crowd attendance announcement when we played them in the league match ?
-
Is it a gate share to each club for each leg or just keep your own gate?
-
I reckon the gate was nearer 1900. At least 300 Alty fans and the car park was rammed along with the main access roads around the ground.

Hello Mr tax man.
Well Salty my friend, no change up to now, BUT just look at the pictures!!!!!!!!

I believe that the gate is not split and all monies go to the home club only.
-
Capacity: 6,039
Covered Seating: 1,011 (Main Stand 710, Hednesford End 301)
Covered Standing: 4324 (Wimblebury Terrace 2572, Heath Hayes end 1752)
Uncovered Standing: 704 (Hednesford End 236, Left of main stand 228, Right of main stand 248)
So the seating area in the main stand is 710, and was virtually full + Alty = almost 1000.
So 209 ish in the rest of the ground, no chance.
-
So if according to another post this game is considered a Cup tie rather than a League fixture, we get 50% of the gate.
Smells like an old Vics FA Cup gate receipt account.

Gates takings for each leg the home club keeps no sharing. Its only the final that's split 3 ways both teams in it and the Conference.

Bit of creative accounting going on there if you ask me. One for us, one for the taxman---
