Nope, they're in Alty. The old Gas Board site, Welman House, was totally within Altrincham. I used to work there when it first opened in 1965 and left in 1968. I remember watching an  FA Cup replay one afternoon against Bangor City from the roof of the building ! I couldn't have the afternoon off, but kept disappearing from my desk with a sheaf of papers under my arm for 15 minutes at a time. You could see most of the pitch from that roof.
