Tongue in cheek comment of the season?
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:50:46 PM »

John Laidlar's award winning official unbiassed and informative site has a report from the tamworth viewpoint which ends with the superb sentence;

Perry, harshly nicknamed ‘submarine' by the home fans around the press box, was felled by Williams on 62 earning the Alty player a booking..."

oooh that was harsh!

The chief culprit there was VofD and his ironic cries of "Dive! Dive!" every time that the vertically-challenged Perry crumpled to the ground whilst clutching his face in ostensible throes of agony.

Seriously though, what an absolute embarrassment to the game of football Perry is.

He instantly claims his place in the forward line of my 'Simulation Specialists' XI alongside Richard Brodie and, it has to be said, our very own Chris Denham....!

Richard Brodie and Chris Denham are both highly skilled at falling over under minimal contact but I do not think either comes close to the submarine known as Perry. He must be 15 or 16 stone but my lad who is not yet 2 years old could have flattened him yesterday!
Rumour has it though that the submarine only eats Hollands pies and will not touch pukka crap.    ;D ;D ;D
