The King George, about 60 yards away from the away end, is a decent boozer and where most away fans congregate. They show the early kick off football and there will be a decent sized group of friendly Alty fans in there on Saturday lunchtime/afternoon. The Good Catch chippy opposite the ground is a fabulous place for some chips and whatnot before a game.

If you're around Alty Town Centre then The Bricklayers Arms on George Street (and if you want food then Eat Fresh opposite serves great food at a decent price) or Costellos in Goose Green which does a great selection of locally made ales in a friendly environment.

All fans are welcome in the Noel White Suite (underneath the main stand) before and after the game. :)

Why are are we pushing people into pubs when our own bar will be open from appx 12.30 & it will also be showing the early kick off on TV.

Chippy across the road aswell.

Why go anywhere else ?

Because the bar isn't that great compared to other options available.

But it's money coming into the club, we should be encouraging people to use it more.

I realise that.

However, the question was "What is the best pub in Alty?"

I'm not sure any of us can say that the bar at Moss Lane is the answer to this question, even if it does bring revenue into the club.

Shouldn't you be directing them to the George & Dragon......?
