I will just say that my banks that I owe. I am sure they will understand. I am surprised the government hasn't bailed the Vics out.

In a way the Government has already bailed them out.............firstly the HMRC have let them accumulate such a large debt over several years. Something they would not let you and I do. We have to pay up on time. How they allow some clubs' not to send in to them players income tax and NI contributions is absolutely mind blowing
Then they have let them defer the re-payments of this large debt (which to be fair they let Alty do as well) and now they have let Vics default on those payments (which is something Alty DID NOT do). When Admin comes, they will then let them off the payments because they will be unable to collect it!!!

Not sure they have actually defaulted on the tax repayments though.

I thought they (NV) were recently issued with a winding up order by HMRC due to late payments. I also thought it was adjourned because Vics promised to pay the latest installment very soon. I could be wrong though.

Vics wanted to re-arrange their game with Wrexham for 16 Dec to bring in funds - police won't let them........they are now asking the Supporters Trust for £18k to pay wages !

Good luck Val.
Val joined Altrincham after a 'lay-off' from football. After a period in the reserves he fought his way back into first team football and went on to be a major contributor to Altrincham's return to the national stage..........a role model to all young footballers

If he'd seen it 'front-on' at close quarters like I did, then it was no more than a yellow at worst. He saw it from behind Sean's back and also reacted to the loud sound made by boots and studs colliding.

At a recent forum GH said that some players 'fit' in at some clubs, but for some reason, not at others. Maybe this is the case here ?

Vics could have gone into Admin this time last year, but the White Knight that is Jim Rushe (to be fair to him) agreed a deal with HMRC to pay off the debt.........I guess he is now having problems of his own meeting the scheduled payments.

My guess is that HMRC will just agree to a revised payment schedule in the hope they see a return of their (or our) cash. Everyone will conveniently forget that Vics are still handing out contracts to footballers as well as inviting consortiums on board to buy the ground from the last crook.

Beer again : My boss queued for one, wobbly plastic glass and missed the first five mins of the second half because you could not take it out of the concourse (N Stand - central lower tier)

Dan
They might not serve beer anymore, but I assure you they were serving beer.

Last time I had a freeby to a Champions League game at Old Trafford, I noticed that they had the same problems with their catering and beer outlets. Enormous queues meant that I did not bother with food or beer............now you what have thought that they would have this right

One problem from my perspective is the amount of choice. Those serving have to go an get something different with each sale, work out the cost, count the punters money and dish out the change. It all adds to the delay.

Somebody mentioned earlier a 'can bar'. I have seen this done before, boddies or fosters only, £2 a can, correct money only.............worked a treat, served in a few minutes and no glasses to wash, albeit it might contravene the ground regulations because people might try and take them out.

The mind boggles !
Yeh, what we need is lots of money...........either from people who have enough to waste on non-league football, or from those who are clever enough to be able to borrow it without ever having to pay it back. Great business plan.

Why any organisation would ever give anyone involved with NV a single penny is a complete mystery. There recent history is such that I would not even supply them bags of fresh air with payment in full up front.

Also, what is wrong with UK legislation that allows low-life parasites like Connett to continually avoid imprisonment ?
