Can I just say I was unimpressed by Joseph all the way through pre season and I'd love to know which people on here, how and when.

I 'm always prepared to defer to your judgment on these sort of issues - but on what I saw of him at Woodley, Ashton,  Trafford, and one home match (he played one and missed the other I saw) he did enough to convince me (and Graham and Kenny !) that he had something to offer. The guy has played regularly in promotion squads at Cambridge, and Hull (in two consecutive seasons), and was in a decent squad at Rotherham last season.

Maybe he'll come good - remember Nicky Clee didn't set Moss Lane on fire early doors last term - but I'm afraid he rates as an honest mistake  on the evidence so far. Is he on a long term contract do we know ?

I was one of those who were impressed by him in pre season...... If memory serves me right Ryan Brown got a bit of stick on here after the Salisbury away game last season..

Joseph was at fault for the first goal last Sat. Lets just hope he has learnt from it..

Pretty sure I read Michael Carr was at Gateshead on trial BEFORE showing up for Alty Ballers - could be wrong though. Totally 100% agree with Altyshop's post re. Carden and Doran, especially in view of what we ended up with.

Carr had been training with Alty and was due to play in our first pre season game but failed to show after Gateshead offered him a trial. When that didn't work out he came sniffing back.
