HARRY KERSHAW'S LONG-RANGE WEATHER FORECAST
« on: December 30, 2009, 10:20:43 AM »

Local amateur forecaster Harry Kershaw, who has become well known for the accuracy of his long range forecasts over quite a number of years now, is predicting the harshest winter for thirty years !

Harry uses a system of recurring patterns, based on a system used by the German Army during World War 2. Apparently, the 1979 pattern is recurring, and he notes that the last twice that Cockermouth has been severely flooded a particularly severe January and February have followed.

So get those thermals out, be prepared to volunteer for snow shovelling duties, and let's hope we're not playing four games a week during April - though if Harry's right, so will everybody else be !

The German Army hey - mmm dont think he predicted that cold weather on the Russian Front.

I would go with the comments made in another thread that the season will be cancelled due to frozen pitches until the 27th March.

Dear God, is this babbling old nincompoop still out there?

Woody Vantage had more credibility locally.....
