JACK AND JOE DEPART
Altrincham FC said goodbye to two players after Saturday's game. Jack Redshaw returned to Morecambe, who had kindly loaned the former Alty striker back to Moss Lane, for a month after he had signed for the Shrimps on 26 January 2012. Jack's final tally of games with Alty was; played 14(+5), scored 9 times. Jack had made a very great impression in his short time with the club, having joined from Salford City on non-contract terms.
The other player leaving Altrincham was goalkeeper, Joe Collister (right), who impressed during his one-month loan from Tamworth. Two bad-weather postponements meant that Joe played just four times for The Robins.

Altrincham FC wishes both players good fortune in their future careers and thanks them for their services.

Good luck to both, nobody's said much about Joe but I thought he was a really good keeper.

Good luck to both.

Joe was an excellent keeper with a great future.

Jack is a great talent and I hope he makes it at Morecambe.  Lets hope he remembers the part Altrincham played in the chain and he goes on to play for many years in the league.

Good luck to both.

More worried about the gap Collister leaves than Redshaw to be honest.

I agree Joe looked a very competent keeper....Jack has the basic ingredients and needs to beef up and wise up a bit i think and he'll make a living out of the football league.

best wishes to both.

Jack came on at the end of last night's game and provided just about the only bright spot in an otherwise dire performance.
We've had a lot of tough games and long trips recently but that's no excuse for the 'crap' as our manager describes it, that we watched last night.

However.... Jack came on and immediately did what (you'll be more aware than me) he does. Kept the ball close to his feet at all times, twisted and turned, showed good speed over a few yards and cracked off a couple of decent shots.

The thing is he's joining a club where (apart from our other recent signing, Jordan Burrow - another kid, from Chesterfield) our strikers have done very little this season (we consider Ellison more of an attacking wide-midfielder - he's been excellent).

So there's not a great deal of undue pressure on the kid to perform immediately - he'll certainly be given the time to develop his game for the rest of this season and then we'll hope he can really start to show us what he's about after the summer.

Everyone liked what we saw last night, though, and he does seem to offer us something completely different to (and better than) what we've currently got.

Jack is a lovely lad too froma footballing family. He has premier league control and with full time training he will prosper there, never stops trying and will score goals for you for sure.
