Got a text message saying "Darlington Died", but apparently last ditch attempts to save them are still going on?

Is Chris Senior still at Darlo? If he's been released we could get him back!

Rumor has it he has gone on loan somewhere or other, think I read it somewhere.

Senior is on loan at Guiseley until the end of the season IIRC. He scored and got MOTM when they beat Stalybridge in the Trophy on Saturday.

Back to the original point, as bad as it sounds, I hope this is the end. It is just being drawn out, and if I was a Darlo fan, it would get worse by the day. Even if a deal was struck, surely they couldn't play at the black hole that is the Darlington Arena due to the running costs!! It would just delay the inevitable, and I would like them to start again at North East Counties and try and build the club again.

Agreed, with that ground and their situation, I believe the best thing for them now is to start again.

Good luck to them.

The new stadium is a bottomless pit with numerous clauses and costs. Shutting the club down and starting from scratch in a new home is probably the most realistic, least painful option long term.

Unfortunately, I am inclined to agree that is the best and most painless option.

I'm amazed no-one has picked up on this opportunity .....Lee needs to make enquiries and quick! before someone else gets him on loan till the end of the season....

and to be serious, very sad if darlo follow chester and halifax to make a hat trick of former league clubs dying but i do agree they can and will rise quickly from the ashes free from the white elephant of their stadium....good luck darlington!
