Altrincham FC First Team / Could this be Altrincham fc Oldest living ex player?

This gentleman visited the club today when i was there his name is Bill Jackson aged 96
he was back visiting the area after living in Sunderland for over 60 years but he lived in Timperley
One thing he wanted to do was come and see Altrincham fc the club he said he played for in 1937 aged 22 as a
goalkeeper before joining the RAF. His brother Frank Jackson covered the first aid at the club for many a year.
He was well impressed how the club looked today and how it had changed over the years.
Anyone have any information about him?
On the A-Z on the main site there was one William Jackson who played for the club post war but he died in 1974.

The Turkish football association has come up with a radical solution for tackling hooliganism - by banning men from stadiums.

Teams sanctioned for unruly behaviour by fans are instead only allowed to admit women and children aged under 12 to watch games.

On Tuesday, more than 41,000 women and children attended Fenerbahce's match against Manisaspor in Istanbul.

Tomorrow night Moss lane hosts Manchester united reserves v Fulham htis fixture has been bought forward from the Thursday 15 September.
If anybody can help in any way phone the club tomorrow 0161-928-1045 from 9pm as some of the usual volunteers cannot make it because of the date change

Altrincham FC First Team / York city fans receives 3 year banning order

I am no longer involved on the safety side but have persued this

After an incident at the end of the Altrincham v York game on Tuesday 22.02.2011 where 2 Altrincham stewards
were assaulted as a result of pictures and video evidence submitted to the police a York city fan was identified
and arrested and after taking its time going throught the justice systems he has now been given a 3 year
banning order from attending all games.
