I've got some happy memories of that place (although obviously a lot less in recent times).

The crowd of Alty fans singing in the sunshine outside there prior to the Eastbourne debacle in April was a fine sight indeed!

it is out of order that the powers that be can push us around like this, i dont even like the place and beforehand i did put on here that i wasnt arsed..... but in retrospect i think there is a need for the community to keep these pubs alive

It is a fkn disgrace that these Oxygen thieves can serve orders like this.   When I was a kid I often use to see my mates dad pedalling down Moss Lane rat-arsed on his way home  :D..

I bet there was some dodgy dealings somewhere along the line

I was pissed off when they made moss lane bridge one way, sadly the Altrincham I knew as a nipper is rapidly disappearing into the abyss.  What next the market disappearing?

Its bldgs like the bridge inn that people who used to live in Alty (NOT FKN ALTI) have good memories of the town....

Long Live the Bridge.....

I always used to stop by The Bridge for two or three after getting off the train for home games. A rare proper old basic boozer of a type disappearing fast. Even the crap planners of the 60's used to leave the pubs alone when they bulldozed communities.

Are you sure - The public enquiry is not being held until October though ????? The local paper also gives details of how to request attendance at the enquiry to put a point across

I have no affinity with the bridge, but I cannot abide with bare faced lies and abuse of power. Altair and the Council say it would be almost impossible to build the scheme with the pub and garage in place. Absolute rubbish - just alter the design a little bit !!

What they really mean is that they don't want the view of their empty shop and restuarant units blighted by the sight of an old pub and its occupants. That is all.

Quality times had before and after matches in there .. The lick of paint and the smoking ban and how that made it change (lovely smell without smoke)

Playing arrows around push chairs and pool whilst people on the juke box ...

Shame as always stood out with being there whilst all around was being developed.

Another landmark falls ....
