It will be very interesting to see what happens at Stevenage v Luton tomorrow. If Luton were to win I reckon they'll go on to win the league outright, leaving Stevenage to contemplate the playoffs.

We could have a big say in the destiny of this year's title if we take points off one/both of them in the coming weeks.

Stevenage will have the title wrapped up by the time they visit Moss Lane. If they fail to beat Luton on Saturday then they will clinch the title at Moss Lane. Our day will come again by the way.

I can see it now:

Alty wrap up the title with 5 games to spare, veteran striker Colin Little coming off the bench to seal a 3-1 victory over Mansfield (oh yes!) causing scenes of jubilation all around Moss Lane. Ken McKenna is chaired from the pitch after the game on a sea of happy Alty fans, acknowledging the completion of some seriously unfinished business from 1991. There isn't a dry eye in the house as Alty finally take their rightful place in the football league!

Think I'll take a couple of days off after this one!

Alty1981 may well be right as Luton beat Stevenage today.
I can see Stevenage dropping 5 points or more from their last 6 games.I can also see Luton winning their last 5 games.
I hope that Stevenage win the tite - Oxford wont beat Luton in the play-offs.

i still fancy stevenmange to win the league.  Neither gruesome luton nor stevenmange will win the playoffs, they'll be too demoralised.  Neck on block time...Poxford to win the play offs.

So, when is our shot at the title?  Next year is too early - hope to be nearer the play off spots.  If we continue with our on the pitch progress and maintain our stability (thanks again Mr. Goodwin) off it perhaps season 2011 / 2012 could be a memorable one for Alty FC.
