I didn't have a bet on that one. Liverpool are one of the few teams who take that competition seriously. But United had to win or Moyes job would have been at risk. It could have gone either way and the prices didn't offer any real value.

What makes you think Moyes job was under threat. Fergie didn't set the world alight when he took over . I have trouble getting my head round this "Get. Rid" attitude after so few games and 4 of those games being against top teams !!!! (I'm not having a pop at you personally)I just find it baffling  ;)

Nonsense mate. Paid over the odds for Fellani yes, but no doubt he is a quality player. The only people who seem to be having patience with Moyes is the people who need to...the geniune United fans. While watching on Sunday, my United mates all blamed the players attitude and slow pace rather than Moyes tactics. They know they will have days like that, just as they did under Fergie. As for the Glazers patience, as long as they are staying in top 4 (which they will) and getting to latter stages of Champions League (which they will), I think they will give time for the trophies to come.

I never understood why Moyes got the job. In eleven years at Everton he won nothing. When top jobs became available he was never among the favourites for any of them. I thought United would go for a top class manager like Mourinho. But it looks like they let Fergie choose his replacement. I could be wrong but i think Moyes is out of his depth.

Kenwright never gave Moyes the means to progress Everton to the top echelon of the premier leg. Utd did well not to bother with Mourinho, he just wants to be the main focus and will have no longevity wherever he manages. I personally think Moyes will be fine once he has bedded in at OT. The media are just praying he fails so they can improve the sales of there grubby newspapers
