Would it not be a good idea if TASC got some sort of feel as to why
there is so much apathy in supporters getting involved in the
fundraising schemes at the club.Maybe in the form of a confidential
questionaire,a printable version online, or an hand out sheet at
home matches. The obvious excuse at the moment is the credit
crunch but this situation is not just a present one & there must be
other reasons why fan's won't donate to these schemes. If TASC
can then take some of the reasons given on board & present
them to the club, they maybe able to address them with hopefully
a better reaction to fundraising from our supporters being
forthcoming.

I would also suggest the answer lies outside of the "fanbase". There is only a finite amount of disposable income within the regular support and in order to expand our income levels we need to look at ways of making money from "non-Alty fans".

I believe there are ways of doing this, it's just a question of doing them in a way which is sufficiently profitable.

I thought about suggesting this before instead of just getting a big Crowd for Vics, Why not put on an offer for United ,City Etc season ticket holders to get into moss lane for half price. Even though people moan when United fans come and start singing we hate cockneys and all the rest of it and people shout shut up you Munich C**t T**t Etc which is completely out of hand considering what i get critiscised for on here. people need to remember at the end of the day these stragglers with nothing to do on a Tuesday or Friday night are binging in extra money into the club.

Also remember the saturday Yankee runs during pre season aswell and i also think that even though the club says £5 a week during close season fans shouldn't feel they just have to put that small amount in if you can afford 10 ,20 even 50 quid a week it all keeps the club moving.

I agree with you ALTY 1981 that some of the answers lie outside the
fanbase but I think if a survey was taken of people who attend home
matches on quite a regular basis that you would be surprised of the
high number of those who don't donate to fundraising activities &
many will give the reason as by paying their admission charges, then
they are contributing & that they are doing their bit.

This is the flip side to it as well as you say DAB

We also can't alienate people who just want to come on a Saturday, pay their money and go home.

I think the point Pete is trying to make is that if you meet up for a couple of pints in Alty, make the second one in Altys bar for example.
