This season was never going to be a comfortable mid table finish after looking at the players we recruited in the summer as early as the pre season games.   Apart from Michael Rankine , they haven't really cut the mustard. Add in the injuries to key players, especially Clee as we have no creativity without him and it was always going to be a relegation battle. Yesterday was the thrashing we expected really, but our fate won't be decided on trips to Grimsby , it will be on how many wins we can get in our home games. Moving forward we need an upturn in form for Scott leather, one or both of these kids on the wing to be half decent and a 4-5-1 formation.

We have not improved and a CN team in the National League will struggle - something mentioned before on here - last season we were lucky

I agree as well, indeed would say were much weaker when you consider the loss of Walshaw, Wilkinson etc who are head and shoulders ahead of what we have now

I agree about Walshaw, but can't help thinking that the sanctification of Greg Wilkinson is well off the mark. Let's be honest, if it wasn't for the playoff goal he'd have been on his way that summer. Plus, County didn't want him, and I understand he doesn;t get a game for Telford now either.
