Most new managers would get 6 games minimum before questions were asked. Not here at the present.

It's clear the way he wants his team to play, and I agree with him. I think we can play our way out of this league but no matter what style/formation you play, you'll win no  games without scoring. 3 games in and no goal from open play says it all. The fact we haven't got a player who can  provide this is the management team responsibility and the book stops there.

Delighted Jones has signed and hopefully the new keeper can prove to be better than what we've got, but if we can't score we'll get relegated.

Absolutely. We played some good football today, particularly in the first half but this means sh*t if we can't score.

Moult was really good to day and so were a few others but if we can't put the ball in the net, we are Indeed doomed.

I believe Parkinson will fix things but only time will tell

If Rochdale can pay £100k for a non league player, makes me wonder what we did / could have got for Duncan Watmore...

Sheffield Utd at home was great as someone else has alluded to - wasn't backs against the wall that game, steam rollered them including a great long range goal from Graham Heathcote (I think)

Recent play off victories and play off semis also stick out - Val Owen goal at Kettering.

Home game with Orient in the FA Cup around 80/81 for the shear number of folk inside Moss Lane - must have been 7k+?

Hadn't seen a game since before Christmas and was expecting more. I thought Jones deserved Mom over 90 mins.

Tragic lack of endeavour in the final third, some dangerous crosses but no-one taking a chance / putting themselves in amongst it.

We're done for and deservedly so....

I have only ever had one forum pseudonym but would like to think I could change it should I feel that way inclined. One of the few pleasures in life for me (and it is a simple existence I lead) is stepping into the shoes of Randy Konk before my sporadic postings. Its a process not similar to that which Mr Benn went through in the changing room without the psychedelic adventures.

On a side issue, I would be greatly disappointed if Tommy Dickfingers ditched his pseudonym in favour of something more sensible.

I'm not drunk.

Up the Alty

Absolute junk. The work rate in the second half , considering we were chasing the game was a disgrace. They don't look arsed to me.

Totally agree. We haven't been able to go toe to toe with physical teams for several years but that second half was embarrassing and the threat of relegation is very real...

Definitely have him at Alty if that could be organised. Got a memory of him scoring a great goal against Alty in a defeat at Hyde a few years back, may have been Lee Sinnott's first season in charge?

As terrible as last night was, he needs longer than 4 league games.

Much more of last night though and people may stop bothering to pay and watch...

Lawrie is the one I'm not convinced about staying but I suppose he could be a good option coming off the bench,I just hope Neil doesn't see him as a regular starter!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again : IMO Lawrie is an absolutely awful player, and if NY does sign him, then the manager will have gone down in my estimation before the season even starts. >:( >:(

I absolutely agree. Whether it's behind the strikers or elsewhere, seems to turn a great number of promising positions into the opposite. No better in the conference north from what I remember.

Truly sorry to see Nicky Clee go but onwards and upwards I guess. I anticipate a transitional mid table season....

Surprised so few have expressed an interest in keeping Holness. I think he's been excellent since coming in. Very professional

I love this, inspirational nutcase? 😀 jack Nicholson in one flew over the cuckoos nest....

We've got to start thinking beyond the same old routine surely. And what's more graham himself said he'd finished with management when he left Trafford. We need an inspirational nut case for ten games. There's plenty out of work that could be tempted with a contract to the end of the season and a staying up bonus.

I too wish him all the best.

Watched some great performances under his stewardship and always liked the way he wanted the team to play football. The 2 demolitions of Boston and the 4-3 away at Halifax stand out for me.

I hope he returns to management soon and Alty can get themselves out of the relegation zone

Lack of quality rather than effort for me. Says something when you're best player is a central defender on loan from another club.

In future, Maybe we need a management team, scouting, coaching set up and playing style that will give us a chance of staying in this league with our meagre budget, who knows...

Rubbish tonight, don't see a way out of it now but stranger things have happened.

There's a lot more we could do to promote this.

When I signed up, the bank details for the club were wrong so I had phone calls from the bank. The same happened to my girlfriend years later when I convinced her to do it.

Also, the Saturday Yankee website is never updated so you don't  know whether you have won or not.

I can understand why it is isn't more popular but think it's a good idea. Maybe we just need to make it look a bit more professional?
