He had a great game. I hope there’s more to come.

Don’t look back Dinanga….

I’m not sure whether a change is required just yet, management wise. I believe our system doesn’t help us, it’s a thankless task playing the ‘striker’ role in that set up. I don’t think Jordan looks any likelier to score than Marcus who seems to be scapegoated. We’re shipping goals but have competed in a few games. I want us to get back to basics, get a scrappy win and re-group…

Firstly he needs own and accept we are currently in the sh*t. We are so much weaker than second half of last season. Needs to start with getting players match fit, they should be at least fitter than last year and they are way off.

Difficult balance this. Full time football doesn’t come cheap and some tough financial decisions have to be made. I agree that some people will be put off by £19 though. I thought we played well after a very sticky first 30 mins where we didn’t seem to have a plan. I also thought Maidstone were a real threat, will do OK this season I reckon…

If the highlights are anything to go by, this looks like a fab signing.

He also scored KL's goal of the season - see youtube - 1min 10sec

Being the member of a local musical outfit and long standing Alty fan, I was wondering who it might be I need to contact to investigate the possibility of some half time airplay? Any idea who I speak to?

I don’t imagine this will be an improvement on yesterday however…

They hardly laid a glove on us.

They were v poor to be honest but don’t let that detract from some great finishing from us and a solid defensive performance…

Up the Robins.

PP leaving is not an option at this stage. That would simply be suicidal.

For what it's worth, I think we'll beat Woking on Saturday and then hopefully we'll be having a different conversation.

In what sense suicidal?

We lose every single week and have won one game in months. Even if a new manager came in a had the same run of form as PP, that still wouldn’t be worse than what we’re doing currently.

He’s a legend at this club and always will be, the way he lead us back from the Unibond onto the North and then the National has been nothing short of heroic and actually doing it whilst being pleasing on the eye.

However, we’ve hit rock bottom again, the free flowing confident football has disappeared and the recruitment, even recently has been horrific. The only way he should stay on is if the board think he is the best single person to turn it around, but what would they base that opinion on?

Our form is worse than most in the whole country in the last half of a season, and we had a couple of torrid runs last year too.

Spot on. The trajectory of this club is downward. Uncomfortable  and difficult decisions need to be made by those than run football clubs sometimes. To shy away from those can be equally catastrophic. I guess we’ll have to see how we get on Saturday. There absolutely has to be a huge improvement and a minimum of 3 points to convince me we are capable of staying up.

Only positive from today was that it only cost me a tenner to get in.

Team selections, tactics and formations are now bewildering. Today there was also a lack of effort. We looked like a forlorn NLP team out of its depth against higher opposition. We were playing Solihull Moors.

I will be forever grateful for what Phil has done for Alty but if there is anyone else out there that can galvanise the team for the remaining fixtures, bring them in. There is a risk involved but there is also a chance we will never get back out of the league below if we go down.

Worst I’ve seen us play today in ages. I’m pissed off.

I'm worried now. As alluded to on another thread, the season when we set some kind of record for consecutive draws, we went down.

We'll be on the wrong end of another spanking if we approach this game the same way as we did Stockport.

We were awful true, but why Digie is singled out is beyond me…

I thought he was one of the ‘better’ performers tonight.

Not as bad as that yet but it was v poor today. I can take us being beaten by a technically superior side but when we’re totally uncompetitive, it’s hard to take. Game was over after 15 minutes.

I thought Kennedy Digie was OK. Can’t think of any of other positives and I’ll be surprised if we score a single goal over the next two games…

didn't lay a glove on them.

No idea where the next win will come from, we look as poor a side as the one(s) that suffered the double relegation.

Whitby Town away circa 1999. Didn't warm up properly until Monday...

I thought there was a push from the Bromley striker before the goal. Didn’t see any Alty player appealing however so probably me clutching at straws.

Don’t think Jordan Hulme would help our cause at the moment to be honest.

Better team won. They closed us down and pressed us throughout and we played poorly.
One of our worst displays for a while and even worse than when we had 14 players out. Far too many stray passes, even our first goal was a gift from their keeper.

We were made to look poor by a team who thoroughly deserved to win. I would imagine they’ll give Charlton a game too. I’ll take a scrappy win from wherever we can over the next few fixtures…

Gutted. I love the FA Cup.

BUT WE HAVE TO BEAT GATESHEAD FIRST!

My thoughts exactly. They have the same incentive. Underestimate the Heed at our peril…
