What I pass in the Gents of the Quarry Bank is better than what they serve in the Stonemasons ! Best pints in the Alty area : Railway Broadheath (Holts), Quarry Bank Timperley (Hydes) and Malt Shovels Alty (Sam Smiths). The Unicorn, a Wetherspoons pub, can usually be depended on for a range of decent ale at prices that won't generate angina of the wallet !
