Title: Would Grahame Rowley like to
Post by: VofD on November 09, 2014, 10:20:37 PM
come on this forum and give his views on the management team and players after today. Or do you only come on here when asking for money? >:( >:(

You could see he was visibly angered by what happened today. Bizarre that you've singled him out tbh.

Maybe people want to change the manager and chairman that will help loads that

It'd be ridiculously unprofessional for any chairman to go around giving his opinion on the manager on an online forum where the manager can't defend himself.

What's your point? Don't understand what you're trying to get across here?

I have not singled him out. But he is THE CHAIRMAN of the club.

So? What do you want him to say? That we were shocking, embarrassing, showed no fight? He'd obviously never do that and we don't need him to as it's very clear to see and I'm sure he's just as pissed off as we all are.

Fair point, but LS writes in that too, besides his view on the manager is clearly that he's still the best man for the job, because he's still in the job. And as long as that's true, he's not going to undermine him by slating him and the players in public.

Rest assured the chairman who will have dreamed about a 3rd round pay day this season to protect the club will be suffering more than anyone tonight.  Hes a top man. We are lucky to have him. He brought a manager in to get us up, has given him
as big a budget as he can to keep us up, has made the club part of the community again, and hes right to not see need yet to change the manager (we are 5 pts off bottom 4). Its the manager and players who need to show a response on wed because today was poor.

Poor form to be having a pop at Grahame Rowley, I'm glad not many people have gone down that route on here,

Lee Sinnott and the players get paid to take it and deserve all they get today.

Grahame is a fan like us and will be as down as we all are.  Looking at the posts he has made 6 in the last 2 years, and only one of them asked for anything and that was bids on special shirts for the defibrillator.  The others were information.

Half an hour left of this god forsaken day...

Two broken bones in my hand and my arm in plaster - still better than that result!

........offer Sinnott a sword to fall onto?

Showing yet again that Sinnout has no idea whatsoever how to construct, formulate or motivate a team to achieve a goal. Utterly naive and not fit to manage Altrincham.

Three at the back.........what an absolutely catastrophic yet forecastable outcome.

my replacement knee hurt less than that result, though to be honest if we had got a draw there i would have been shocked before kick off, yesterday we were on a hiding to nothing. No it was always going to be hard to get anything at Blyth, but sadly the performance from what RR was saying did not help. Its gone now,so upwards and onwards in the league.

I've had a few pops about Graham, including the infamous Gloucester rant.
But yesterday I've never seen someone so hurt. Last time I saw him that way way our relegation.

Rowley ' s face said it all.

Now if a player were to come out an apologise.  Different story. However I'd rather shun and the players apologise with 4 points in the next 2 games

Don't worry, I'll let you borrow my copy at half-time so that you can study the Chairman's observations!

I have to say that I think you are venting your spleen on the wrong target here.

The management and the players are the ones who need to be held to account for the Blyth debacle.

I am not venting my spleen at GR. I just wondered if he would venture a comment in the immediate aftermath of this debacle rather than waiting to read them on Saturday.

I wholly appreciate what he, his family and the others do for this club.

I remember that a matter of hours after the loss at FCUM, there was a statement from the chairman about it on the website. But these embarrassing cup defeats have become so familiar under LS - five losses to lower league sides in seven FA Cup and Trophy campaigns to date - that I suppose there's no need for one now.

Yes, & that direction takes us to Telford on Wednesday, this game has gone, We need to move on FAST ...before we let this game drag us down to 5 or 6 consecutive league defeats, whilst we're all still thinking about what might have been at Blyth back in November

No point in snping at anyone we are all pissed off, yesterdays result was a shocis result k to all of us but we have to dust ourselves down and not let this result get in the way of our league programme and we go on a miserable winless run that would be a tradgedy,  think about the Linincoln result if we must look back

anglo alty has it right - there's a game round the corner.  Blyth has gone.  The management and players will be getting what they can from that game it and looking at Telford.

COME ON ALTY.

well, its Tuesday and im still fuming. I would quite like a statement from the club just re-iterating the playing staff let the fans and club down and how its been addressed. Then we can move on.

I still couldnt care less about the Telford game im so fed up.

Well, now sat back in Ireland. It's p*ssing with rain outside and I feel incredibly deflated still. I managed to get the two games in Lincoln and Blyth. To be honest I expected nothing at Lincoln and to win or at least draw at Blyth. Unfortunately, at the moment, to have that the other way around is so typically Alty. I would much rather have seen us get beat at Lincoln and win at Blyth. It was like
watching two different teams.

We are consistent in our inconsistency (if that makes any sense) and although the players have to shoulder some of the blame, ultimately that is the responsibility of the manager.

I watched the whole Football Focus programme this morning and only now realise how bad the goals were. They didn't beat us. We let them win.

On a side note i doth my cap to your efforts in attending those 2 games when coming back to England. What a shame that the reward is so poor!

Why thank you, but in truth I would have also made the Telford game if our cup game had remained on the Saturday and it on the Tuesday. Another two days was more than I could afford financially (or emotionally as it transpired).

Still gutted from Sunday, but for me at least it is worth it to reconnect with the familia Alty.

Let's hope for that reaction tonight.
