Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Transfer window news thread

Tols interview after Chester game said there would be players in before Saturday's match. Time is running out, I can only hope we are keeping quiet, a couple train with us tonight to then be announced tomorrow or Saturday Morning.

After that interview implying new faces were an essential formality I'd be really disappointed not to see anyone arrive.

Leamington have just tweeted that there is no standing water and the game should be on

Surely the extra outlay for a couple of squad reinforcements now will be offset by the financial benefits of staying in this league next year. I can understand why it is a difficult decision to make though.

Pleased with a point today, sounded like we had to dig deep to get it.

Wasn't gunna go to this but looks like I can make it now.

Looking forward to it, enjoyed my trip to Gloucester City there a couple of years ago. Pleasant town/ground.

Potentially top day out for the South East/London based supporters. 16th January.

Very winnable 2 games we've got to get through now!

I think in amongst the magnificent performance, all three goals were reasonably avoidable and quite poor from our point of view. Especially the first one which was a bit of a calamity.

Absolutely Gutted, I have never felt worse than that, none of the relegations anything.

For the Lads and fans to put in such an effort to then see it snatched away was cruel beyond words.

At the end of the day though pride will be the emotion that overrides the dissapointment for me, weve gone toe to toe with two league one sides and should have beaten both (or at least get a draw today).

Will be interesting to see if this is true or just a rumour. I personally think if there's no practical reason for doing so that a special commemorative kit for a game against Colchester United is a bit over the top, should save it for our game at Arsenal in the next round!!  ;)

Fantastic gesture to subsidise the coaches. £25.00 is a very good price compared to the train, need to get as many there as possible. We had 395 at Luton I believe in 2007 or 8 for a first round tie, be good to at least match that if not beat it.

Slightly strange but none the less entertaining view of the game! Singing coming across loud and clear from the Golf Road!

If only 2000 have been sold, we need to have on the day sales of some sort for those who only decide to turn up tomorrow. Under 2500 attendance would be a big disappointment IMO.

Don't know how this would work security wise though

Ticket sales above 2000 as of Wednesday apparently according to the website! I assume that means just home tickets.

SO with away tickets I think plus 3000 is certainly on the cards

If Rankine is fit, I wouldn't want to make a call on whether he or Reeves played. Playing them both would be suicidal IMO as it would leave us so exposed in midfield.
