Let's just stick with BBC1 on Saturday evening, eh?

Frankly, I'd rather watch Erin Boag than Emile Heskey any day....

Wouldn't the Super League Grand Final be more exciting to watch than England?

Probably not, considering we are playing excellent football, won our last game 5-1 and currently sit undefeated at the top of our World Cup qualifying group!

The England game is on many tv channels, just not British ones.

Here is the link to which channels will show it & on what satellites.

http://liveonsat.com/LJ_Sport_foot_intl_any.php

I have an AJ Sport card at home & a spare box that could be used.

What size dish does the club have ? If about 80cm , then could move the dish to Hotbird (13 East)
& use my Aj sport card.

Alt Con club / Old Mill may well have it on.

cheers

AJ Sport has English Comm aswell by the way.

As it is not being shown on any UK tv, then there are no legal issues about showing it in public.
That European law (not a sky law) just relates to 3pm Premier League matches.

Just need a bigger dish than the usual Sky & a more euro friendly box.

cheers

So it's on foreign sky then?  If that's the case how have they managed to buy the rights to it when no English based companies have?  Demand is going to be minimal for other nations' viewers!?  I'm confused!?

Foreign satellite TV is probably a better term than foreign sky.
Sky Germany & Sky Italia are not showing the game either. We also all part of the EU too, so any consumer is allowed
to purchase goods & services across the EU legally. It's only Sky UK  moaning because of competion for Prem league games.

Perhaps no English companies wanted to buy the rights either.

But as the UK is a part of the European directive of satellite signals which obvoiusly have no boundaries,
then legally, anyone in the UK is allowed to view from their sources.

To put it another way, if you were to get your petrol from Shell,
BP can't come along and say you must buy from us. It's called free trade & consumer has the right to get his goods from where he likes.

The upshot is, that if Altrincham Football club wanted or had the means to show the England game, then legally they could as no UK
company has any rights to this match live.
