The 46-year-old also dismissed rumours that owner Geoff Moss is about to sell the Blue Square Bet Premier side.

Saunders hopes that money will be made available to boost their promotion push after Saturday's 3-2 win at Mansfield kept them fourth in the table.

"I would have known if the club was sold, I think there might be some investors coming in," said Saunders.

Monday 3pm

Wrexham Football Club is set to be sold "as soon as possible", with current owner Geoff Moss and chairman Ian Roberts stepping down from the board.

Robert Bickerton, who has been on the board at Shrewsbury and Macclesfield, takes over as chairman.

Dean was a bit cross before realising that he's kept in the dark cos he continually talks crap to the press.
