Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Not So Friendlies
« on: May 15, 2009, 04:31:41 PM »

I know it's good to play local teams of a similar standard but should we really play our rivals in friendlies. I mean would you ever see Liverpool play Man utd in a pre-season friendly, just think it's a bit strange and might take the uniqueness out of the derby experience

Try Communism, oh no that didn't work did it....

whereas capitalism is doing a spiffing job

oh wait....

Communism makes everybody poor.

A significant part of capitalism is the acceptance of an economy that will boom and then bust. Some political scientists say that bust is needed to create a bigger boom than before.

I think history has shown both of these things to be true.

completely agree, we cannot blame the ref for shipping 5 goals in the space of 35 minutes. At the end of the day it was us who came out in the second half and just didnt turn up, the ref wasn't even that bad we were just crap, end of.

why the hell has he called it off now, the weather looks fine. If the area in front of the main stand is frozen surely it can be thawed out by using a few volunteers, it cant be that big

This is taken from the match report on the Rushden website:

Shortly afterwards the home fans were hopeful that referee Joyce might even things up after a Bolasie challenge on Lawton, but it was clear that there was no malice in the challenge and a yellow card was appropriate.

didnt seem any softer than Densmore's to me but they did agree that a red was a bit undeserved

I think he never gave us a thought

Luton Town as a football club gave us no thought what so-ever. From call ing us 'Altrincham Town' to Graham Heathcote morphing in to John King.

Absolutly disgracful basic errors, if the result hadn't been favourable I would be well narked, but as its is I hope they get it right next season when we go.

I defo thought there was more there than 359, but as they were manually adding it up and issuing no tickets it could have any figure. They are going to fit  right into the BSP.

Yes 15 year old lads adding up.. although I thought roughly 2,500 were there.

I was also told to 'sit down' and I 'couldn't stand in the yellow area' AFTER THE GAME had finished ! I then asked how I could leave...

I heard that there were 523 in the away end yesterday

me and 2 mates will be there

839
no as long as we win which sounds quite likely at the moment  but you never know :o
