Does this mean we're pressing ahead and playing tonight with no sign of a pitch inspection? Wealdstone would have given us a cut off time presumably to prevent unnecessary travel.

Looks like it, I'm near the ground and its light rain at present, just started in last 15 minutes or so. Maybe game has a chance, looks like were trying to get it played. Wonder if covers are on some of the pitch?

Providing the bad weather holds off and there is just light rain, I don't see it being a problem, some covers in the bad corner may help a little.

Forecast rain has started on time, and is a light drizzle at the moment.

Suppose there comes a time when we've got to have a go at staging a home game. Just hope it doesn't turn out to be a mud bath leveller.

It's not pouring down and we haven't played on the pitch since Boxing Day. I didn't think it would go ahead but I'm looking forward to it now.

Rain is appreciably heavier at moment by ground, hopefully it will pass soon. More than a shower...

Could history repeat itself tonight ?

I seem to remember from about 1979 a night match being called off at 7.00pm after a monsoon hit Altrincham about 6.00pm.
The opposition....Wealdstone.

Good night in the Moss followed as members of the Alty and Wealdstone supporters clubs got on very well anyway !

I was a bit anxious we'd end up with egg on our faces with a late postponement, given at one point there was heavy rain due all the way up to KO...

...but as long as the pitch is OK as we speak, there's only lighter showers now due - which the pitch should take.

what a pessimistic bunch this dreadful pitch has forced us to become. hopefully the lack of rain (apart from a bit of snow) in the last few days has given the the pitch some capacity to soak up what has fallen this afternoon.

Sorry!

I can get my game head on now. Same team? Maybe give Peers a run up top? Ceesay possibly in for Mooney? Give White a start at left back?

Anyone know if we get Moult / Colclough back yet?

Richman or Dens rather than Harrison.

Is anyone else unable to load the stream tonight? I purchased it a few hours ago, but can't get it to load either on my Apple TV or web browser. Not had this issue before, so it's not due to user error!
