Is it really 5 years ?

As Mr Flynn's co-commentator on that historic night I remember it well !

We have come a long way and had some great laughs on the way.

Holding back a bunch of irate Geordies from attacking Mr Flynn at Blyth Spartans after the award a blatant injury time penalty (well that's how our unbiased RR commentator called it !) lives long in the memory.

Here's to the next 5 years.

Le Soux

Forgot your namesake Duxbury there Mick.

That Le Soux roamed around a bit I take it? Did his England cap have a feather in it?

Ah yes, Duxbury - forgot him
As for Le Soux, he did tend to do a war dance from time to time

Oxlade-Chamberlain, too.

It time to get your teams out for this years event !

Following the success of last years event, TASC will be running another 'Question Of Sport' Quiz Night on Saturday 19th March 2016 following the home game with Aldershot.

The quiz will be based on the popular BBC programme with teams from the Players, The Management, TASC Supporters and Radio Robins/Alty TV competing against each other for bragging rights on who has the best sporting knowledge.

In addition the quiz is open to all other supporters and friends teams. Entry is either £5.00 per person in advance or £6.00 on the night which includes a hotpot supper.

The quiz will start at approximately 6.00pm .

Get your team sorted now for what promises to be a another highly entertaining evening.

Tickets will be on sale on Saturday before the game v Macclesfield from the TASC Desk which will be located in the bar area of the Community Sports Hall

It's just started raining here in Alty and the weather forecast for the weekend is terrible.

I just hope it doesn't turn into another Leamington farce with a late postponement after everyone has travelled down there.

Good luck to all those brave soles making the trip.

I'm thinking Bolton v Rotherham or Six Nations myself for tomorrow afternoon followed by Dad's Army ?

Don't Panic Captain Mainwaring and Don't Tell 'Em Your Name Pike !

I pass their car park around 8.30 am every Saturday morning on the way to play golf, and it is a regular meeting and pick up point for a number of north west teams.

It doesn't surprise me that they have problems. Many turn up with their own Costa or Starbuck's coffee bought off site instead of using the pub's own facilities.

Some park their cars down the lane to avoid the car park charge made by the pub for non customers.

I thought the guy in the gate was joking when he told me it's off again. Unbelievable.

It's now here same time next Tuesday if the pitch is actually playable.

Anyone who went tonight deserves a medal and recompense from them in my view.

I suggest we start a tab for the bar on saturday for anyone who went tonight, I will contribute to it so at least they get a free drink this weekend for their loyalty and commitment.
Anyone else want to join me?

That's very kind of you Pukka .

Me and B4D made it down there so mines a double brandy on Saturday and whatever Brian's on !

The temp gantry for the remote cameras got in the way of my usual view of the planes taking off from ringway

..and they obscured The Flaggers advertising board on the popular side.

I demand a refund from Barry Pond !

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Non-Alty: Black coaches in football
« on: November 06, 2015, 10:52:44 AM »
I have to say that i do disagree with black coaches in football, they shouldn't be allowed. On hot days they get so hot inside, especially if the air conditioning isn't working. You never see a Megabus in black, they are always blue and national express seem to be white. Even Go Goodwins are burgandy and blue.

I believe Ellisons have a number of black coaches that look very smart.

I also noticed that Newcastle United had a very plush black coach when they stayed at the Worsley Marriott the other week to play City at the Etihad.

Mind you they did get beaten 6-1 so that could be another black coach on the way out ?

What's to stop the club pre selling the match programme at the cover price plus £1.00 postage and under cutting the rip off artist?

I've just posted off a couple of Alty programmes sold on Ebay and the postage is slightly under £1.00 (but don't tell anyone !)  :-X

Great highlights as usual , shame no behind goal shots , presume cam didn't work because saw it was there.

A mechanical issue with some new rigging - 2 hours footage of the grass at the bottom of the post. Should be sorted by next week.

I've heard of 'watching the grass grow,' but filming it growing for 2 hours really is above and beyond the call of duty !  ;D
