Bolton had an array of capable players today but no regulars that I noticed, we played more or less the first team of which Heff should be a regular - impressed today.

Spoke to a bloke who watches us a few times a season and who went along today. He was well impressed with Heffernan and said that the ball was going through midfield a hell of a lot more than at any stage over the last couple of years. Very positive stuff.

I really think that if Dale comes on the way I'm hoping he will we have a good chance of top half. Dale and Col getting 30 goals between them would be ace.

I agrree that if dale scores a few more to match his general play then there is no reason why we cant have 45 goals between Senior, Little and Johnson

He has a point about the posters though - if we plaster the town/pubs/workplaces with the things it might bring a few more in. Have we tried putting loads at up at the three universities?

This is where I start to doubt if he is an Alty fan or just a good researcher.

Anyone who knows anything about Alty knows that 397 is actually a decent crowd for a friendly, regardless of how many the ground holds.

There is actually nothing wrong with trying and hoping to get more people through the gate, whether to a friendly or a competitive game surely? It could be argued that with cheaper admission etc and on paper higher profile opponents it is an opportunity to get newcomers in.

You miss my point.  Of course there is nothing wrong in that.

I am merely pointing out that no Alty fan I know believes 397 to be an appalling gate for a friendly.
