At 2pm nobody had access to the weather forecast and needed to fire up ceefax to find out what was common knowledge. No problem with the game being called off but the delay in making what was a clear and obvious outcome was pure pantomime and so untypical of the club. I await an "Oh no it isn't" response. 😁

Info on Facebook is that pitch inspection at noon tomorrow. Sounds ominous. If it's unfit then it won't improve overnight with minus 4 forecast. Another Tuesday night move for a Saturday fixture in the offing with a reduced attendance on the cards.

« on: November 29, 2023, 05:56:02 PM »We made a bank rolled team look very ordinary. Some fantastic attacking play with Dackers making an excellent debut. Finishing was much more clinical.Take mucky bedding every day if we score six. Think the clean sheet business only applies if we don't score or only net once.
Disappointed no clean sheet.

Three home games in eight days will constitute a severe test of our pitch (and the groundstaff!).

The match is being streamed live on National League TV in the UK this Saturday for those unable to make the game at Eastleigh.
Don't know if the CSH have any plans or any Alty pubs. I can appreciate travelling support is compromised by TV streaming live.

Echo your sentiments Steve as i'm sure the overwhelming majority of Alty fans do.
I don't envisage the dynamic duo will be at the helm forever and that when the time comes for them to move on comes I am confident they will leave us in a healthy and sustainable position.
That time would not be now or in the near future me thinks. Still work to be completed before we part company. Parky and Sorves know what the fans think of them and how much we value their commitment to the cause.

« on: October 24, 2023, 05:24:12 PM »Thanks to the club for changing the timing of the away coach to 1pm. And the management board and players for the coach. Lacie is playing for the Under 12's Sapphires on Saturday but will be finished and back home by 1200pm. Therefore, we can now make the game and indeed have booked the coach and tickets at the Chaddy End with the away fans.Hi Steve. Last season after a bit of a conflab with the stewards the coach entered the main car park and parked up about 50 yards from the away turnstiles. Obviously I don't know if it'll be the same this time.
Can someone advise as I have limited mobility, where the coach drops us? Is it actually close to the ground as I have a walking stick.
Thanks and see you all tonight and on Saturday, our first away game this season.

It will be cast as 'former Top Flight Premier Leaguers meet former prolific record Giant-Killers'... no wait on... what Is this?... EuroSmakufussball.com have obtained broadcasting rights to the game. EuroSmaku cater exclusively for the population of Tuvalu and have announced that the game will now kick off at 02:30am on Monday 23rd 2023.That's the last thing I expected.
