You see, we are better than a midtable side people only get pissed off when we dont perform as we should, how many goals conceded in recent games cant be many this is what should be happening the odd draw yes but conceding two every game no, well done lee and the lads.
we are better than a midtable team now yes the table can not lie the trend though in the last 18 months has been that we are a mid table team the table can not lie !

Any way happy 5th is great news !

Also thinking Brackley might fail in the 2nd half of the season, I believe 3rd is not out of reach. Our biggest threat will be Halifax.

Was told by a Chester supporting mate that they struggled against Harrogate and we would have a real job on our hands to get anything out of the game. Nothing could have been further from the truth, as good as we were they were poor.

I dont think the sending off changed the resu;t, just enhanced it.

Good to be in a play off spot, makes Saturday's game a biggy and a draw acceptable.

If we can keep our three injury riddled players (Rodgers, Watmore and Clee) fit I think we can compete with any team.

I thought Brackley might fade, but yesterday's win will have lifted spirits a little. Still think they'll qualify for the playoffs, but I do wonder if they'd need to spend, particularly on extra seating.

So we played awfully at times against a Stalybridge side who were in a very similar position to us and we came away with 4 points. Not bad at all, although I didn't see it like that during the 2nd half at moss lane last week.

If you look at our form this season we have slowly improved, with a 3 game dip possibly due to FA cup distractions. I hope we peak late on and we can get up in the top 5 for good.

We've got 4 games in 9 days coming up and I think 8 or 9 points minimum needed to keep us in 5th.

Great stuff and we are 5th on merit: games in hand should take Halifax above us but should also take us above Gainsborough.

Technically 6th with Harrogate 6 points behind us with 3 games in hand. However, I would discount them as they will have a horrendous backlog of fixtures - I'm fairly confident that they'll have a couple more home matches called off during January and February.

We've got a better points per game average than Harrogate, so on that basis I'd say we're now properly above them.

Yep fair enough.
