NL knowledge help....
« on: December 03, 2012, 11:48:57 AM »

Can anybody list due to their incredible knowledge or point to a website that will tell me the following....

a) Most FA CUP scalps by non-league teams ie. say the top 5/6

I think  Yeovil and ourselves are top two but, who are the 4/5 next best Giant Killers?

Telford Utd must be one, unfortunatley Mac would be quite high also with wins against Stockport Rotherham Swindon and Chesterfield albeit on pens to name a few

Strangely that site has no mention of Yeovil. Their win against Sunderland is generally regarded as the biggest upset ever.

Bit of an obscure answer, but I'd be surprised if Tottenham Hotspur weren't on the list.

Won the FA cup in 1901 but didn't join the football league until 1908, reckon they must have had at least 10 wins over league opposition between their formation and 1908.

I just flipped through an old stat book I got for Christmas 1995 (Ian St John), and the top 4 were, as of end of 94/95;

Alty 16
Yeovil 14
Telford 11
Enfield 10

Out of other sides mentioned, Wigan have 9, Macc weren't on the list (though Northwich are with 5, so add a couple more to that). Hereford have 8 and Kettering 7.

So I would say top 4 is Yeovil, us, Telford and Hereford.
