After making Holdsworth look silly with this quote ; Meanwhile, David "Holdsworth is backing the club's appeal – along with nine other teams – to reinstate the six points they lost following the expulsion of Chester City... [If successful,] it would leave the Stags still five points off the play-offs but better placed against rivals AFC Wimbledon and Luton. Holdsworth said: 'If something is worth fighting for, you should fight for it'.

And alongisde Holdsworth's sour grapes attempt to get our goal disallowed via a video replay; (The Mansfield manager said of the goal "Scott Garner got pulled around, but we will have to see if he was fouled on the video".)

John Laidlar has put the following photo showing two alty players clearly being held in the box before we scored

Lets hope they don't consult the video, upload it to youtube and get our goal disallowed.

Maybe we should upload the video onto youtube, get a penalty and win the game retrospectively 2-1.

If something is worth it you should fight for it....no matter how ludicrous apparently....

Well done Mr Laidlair, quality hatchet job on a complete prat !

Having just read the main web site and having attended the match on Tuesday I can only endorse what our tactical genius of a manager has said in reply.

What do they expect away teams to do, go out and lay down and let them roll us over.

Seems like I've heard all this crap before from a certain Mr Whinger at Arsenal.

David Holdsworth is the Arsene Wenger of the BSP

#2635 ! Mr.Laidlar has again excelled himself with his article on the subject of the appeal for points reinstatement. I particular like his use of the phrase "tinpot club" near the end of the piece. A certain Nottinghamshire based club come readily to mind (how long before their local derby is against Eastwood Town ?).

Phil, whereas the Webmeister's skills are up there with the best, the article you refer to is from the 200% website and has not been penned by JL...........the 200% site is often a good read and a Voice of Reason

Not 100% sure, but fairly sure by John's reactions as the game went on that this was because his shirt was badly ripped by a mansfield defender trying to mark him at set pieces, so he had to find a different one. He spent most of the last couple of minutes of the first half complaining to the ref and showing him his shirt.
