London Alty on tour - Ebbsfleet
« on: April 14, 2008, 07:36:33 PM »

Any other London Alty making the trip to Ebbsfleet by train? I'm thinking the 1232 from Charing Cross, arriving at Northfleet at 1326 would leave a good hour for drinking at the Cooper Arms.

Our usual rendevous for such a fixture would be 12 o'clock at London Bridge.

Is th eCooper Arms the pub just near Northfleet station (bath tub o' beans and cross-dressers) at the top of the hill before the drop to the ground? Or is it the dodgy one next to the ground?

Please note this is a "2 can" train journey.

London Bridge it is. The 1210 gets in 1256 with trains every 30 minutes after that.

The Cooper Arms is the one by the station - seems less deadly than the Plough.

I'll be the one wearing an Alty shirt that my other half shrunk in the dryer.

Good call SLA, London Bridge area likely to be a bit moody, and I'm not too keen on plastic glasses. We're heading out to Gravesend first, two GBG pubs plus one well recommended on B.I.T.E. Two pubs also feature in Northfleet but they look to be a way from the ground. Woolwich or Blackheath on the way home.
